It is reported on the Giants official website that they are not focusing on a "hitter". I think everyone knows the Giants need a hitter and who is that hitter? They stated that Dan Uggla is a possibility, now Uggla will give us so power no doubt, but brings a sub-par .243 batting average along with him. At this point I'll take a guy who's hit over 30 HR's 3 years in a row we needed that last year. Giants need to be careful and not give too much in return if the Marlins and Giants do agree in a trade. Giants FO has be notorious the past couple of years on making terrible trades(we all remember AJ Pier. for Nathan, Liriano, and Boof! and how can we forget about the Garko gym last year) so if the Giants could pull off a possible Fred Lewis and some minor league pitching for Uggla that would be great in my opinion.

"The Giants already have Freddy Sanchez at second, but he could be moved to third to make room for Uggla, which would move Pablo Sandoval to first base.
The Marlins are expected to have a high asking price for Uggla, but the Giants could offer a starting pitcher like Jonathan Sanchez, or a package of minor leaguers."

Is this going to be the Giants new infield next year? Sanchez at 3rd, Rent. at SS, Uggla at 2nd, and Pandoval at 1st? Hey that sounds like a huge improvement to me and I'm super excited to see if the Giants could pull this trade off without giving up to much. I would hate to see the Jonathan "Dirty" Sanchez go, man when he's on he is NASTY(by the way I was at his No Hitter on July 10th best game ever!!!), so I will hope the Giants don't trade him. Thanks for reading and drop me some comments on what you think and what I got wrong. Thanks
Pent
